This is where Grandpa’s journey begins
Through his stories, we show children—and grown-ups—that every job, no matter how simple it may seem, has value.
We want the people working in these fields to feel proud. A waiter should never feel ashamed of their work, and no child should ever feel embarrassed to say their mother is a housekeeper.
Grandpa highlights the true worth of care, dedication, and respect. He reminds us that real heroes are all around us, in every cup of coffee served, every dish prepared, and every room cleaned with love. His stories are here to honour them.
In the first book of the series, we meet Dimitris, a driver who knew every street and alley in the city. One Christmas Eve, when everything seemed uncertain, Dimitris became the hero who helped Santa Claus deliver the presents and save Christmas.
But this is just the beginning. In the books to come, Grandpa will introduce us to more remarkable people, with stories full of love, care, and the values that brighten our everyday lives. Because every job has its own importance, and every story deserves to be told.
Grandpa’s adventures are just getting started!
Grandpa isn’t just a storyteller—he’s someone who has traveled far and wide, meeting extraordinary people in ERGON locations around the world. As the first and most well-travelled member of ERGON, Grandpa has seen how dedication, skill, and a love for what we do can transform even the simplest jobs into something extraordinary.
Through his stories, Grandpa brings these experiences to life, teaching children that every role, no matter how small it may seem, has value. He introduces us to the real heroes—those who serve meals, prepare rooms, or brighten someone’s day with their care and effort.
With warmth and wisdom, Grandpa invites us to appreciate the world of hospitality and catering through his eyes: a world where respect, pride, and kindness are at the heart of every action.

The idea for Grandpa’s books was born at the 1st ERGON Vision Lab, held in the Caribbean in early 2024.
The team of Alexandra, Marilena, Vasilis, Odysseas, and Stavros won first prize with their inspiring proposal for this book series, which highlights the core values that lie at the heart of ERGON and have shaped it into the company it is today.
